A lightweight, rugged solution for filtering large amounts of water in as little as 7 minutes, Sawyer's 1-Gallon Gravity System with Double Threaded MINI Filter is ideal for backpacking, backcountry camping and emergency preparedness. With threads on both sides, you can screw the lids onto the MINI for easy on/off operation while filtering to control water flow.
The filter:
The Sawyer MINI weighs only 57 grams, fits in the palm of your hand and is rated at 0.1 micron absolute filtration - removes 99.99999% of all bacteria, such as salmonella, cholera and E.coli, removes 99.9999% of all protozoa ( such as giardia and cryptosporidium) and removes 100% of microplastics.
Bladder:
Weighs only 128 grams and holds 3.8 liters. The bladder has a large opening that enables quick filling and a comfortable carrying handle.
Sawyer's water filters contain a large number of small "U" shaped hollow fiber micro-tubes that trap contaminants while allowing decontaminated water to freely pass through at a high flow rate - eliminating the need to store water and reducing the risk of water contamination after the filtration process.
GRAVITY DOES THE WORK
Unscrew the cap on the opening and fill the bag with water from any source - lake, stream, tap, etc. - and connect the supplied tube between the bladder and the Mini filter. After filling, hang the container with the filter under it from a tree, the back of your backpack or simply hold it up by hand. Water will flow through the filter to give you fresh, clean water to drink and cook with.

The MINI's filtration membrane is robust enough to withstand backwashing with the included syringe, restoring up to 98.5% of the filter's flow rate.
We also include our Cleaning Coupling accessory, so you can backwash the MINI with a standard soda bottle (with 28mm thread).
MINI can be cleaned and reused almost indefinitely without expensive cartridges to replace. We recommend backwashing and sanitizing the filter after each excursion for optimized use.
