How does it work?
|
The faeces end up in the plastic bag and can then be composted.
The urine is separated and flows out into the tube. You either collect it in a can or you dig a small pit (stone box) outside the tent approx. 50 cm deep. Place stones of different sizes in the pit and run the hose down. Cover with soil (put the top layer you dug away first with the grass down first so the soil doesn't slide down between the stones)
If you have water to wash your hands with (eg in spring collapsible buckets) can you pour it into the urine funnel if you have dug a stone coffin) then the risk of bad odor is reduced.
If the dasset is to be used for several days, we recommend that you put some soil or sawdust in the bag after each visit. It reduces the risk of bad smell.
