Our oxygen absorbers bind up 300cc of oxygen. Since the air consists of approx. 21% oxygen, a 300cc oxygen absorber can make 1.4 l of air oxygen-free. We recommend 1 oxygen absorbent in bags that are 2 l or less.
The 8.7 l bag requires 2-4 pcs and the 30 l bag at least 3 pcs.

It all depends on what you pack in the bag and how much air you manage to get out of the bag before closing it. It also depends on what you pack. Oatmeal contains e.g. more air than spaghetti.

Don't skimp on the oxygen absorbers! If you do not succeed 100% with the welding of the bag, an extra oxygen absorbent is a cheap insurance.

The bag also contains an oxygen indicator (see picture 3). This is pink as it is not in contact with oxygen. If oxygen gets into the bag, it turns purple. If you store your oxygen absorbers in a patent-type glass jar (see picture 4), put this over the jar, then you know that your oxygen absorbers are fresh.
